A Federal Judge Makes The Equal Marriage Bans Illegal In Georgia

Written by

A federal judge in Georgia has signed an order that makes unenforceable the prohibition of marriage between same-sex couples.

Still some time ago, Georgia banned same-sex marriage and only recognized unions between a man and a woman.

Since Wednesday, it is now the equal marriage ban which becomes illegal after the signing of an order by Judge William Duffey making this ban unenforceable in Georgia.

This is only a formality after the legalization of marriage equality by the Supreme Court, but it is nevertheless one more victory!
