The federal government of Alabama has just published a new study that allows to know in which corner of the state married same-sex couples live.

This study used data from the Treasury Department of the end of last year, changes were able to take place since but it can already give an idea of the distribution of 620 LGBTQ pairs in Alabama.

The area where the largest number of same-sex couples is the Birmingham area with 161 couples who reside there. And conversely, the area where the postal code begins with 367, near Selma, does not include same-sex couples.

The map below made by AL.com is based on a New York Times compilation of the new Treasury study data.
