A New Vote For DADT's Repeal

After two senators decided to introduce a new bill to repeal DADT, another bill identical has been presented and this one will be voted tomorrow (Wednesday).

Senator Joseph Lieberman and Susan Collins worked together to propose a new measure to repeal Don't ask, don't tell policy (New Bill to Repeal DADT).

In the same time, an identical bill, sponsored by Republican Patrick Murphy and cosponsored by Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, was presented in the House of Representatives.

“I look forward to bringing this bill to the House floor soon, and I hope the Senate will swiftly take action as well so that the bill can be signed into law as soon as possible," Steny Hoyer said.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi tweeted:

"The House will vote on Rep. Patrick Murphy's standalone #DADT repeal bill tomorrow-Senate action on #DADT is long overdue."
