A Quarter Of Americans Are LGBT, That's What People Think

A new poll reports that most Americans think a quarter of the population of the United-States is gay or lesbian.

It is an estimate re-examined upwards by Gallup because recently William Institute announced that only 3.5% of the population were lesbian, gay or bisexual and 1% of transgenders. Moreover, 35% which estimate the result could be higher than a quarter.

"Just your best guess, what percent of Americans today would you say are gay or lesbian?" Gallup asked to the participants. Only 4% answered less than 5% of Americans are gay or lesbian.
