The new Virginia's Attorney General embarkes on a battle against the marriage equality ban of his state.

Mark Herring decided to join the two couples who launched a challenge in a federal court against the prohibition of marriages for same-sex couples because he thinks that violates the constitution of the United States.

Opponents to marriage equality are of course furious. They think Herring does not fulfill his duty by not defending the Virginia's laws. But they reassure themselves, two county clerks will defend the prohibition.
