Bill To Ban Discrimination Introduced In Ohio

A legislation banning discrimination in housing and employment based on sexual orientation and gender identity was presented in Ohio.

It is a Republican lawmaker, Ross McGregor, who presented this bill.

"If we’re really intent of creating a 21st-century economy, then we have to be welcoming to those people with the talent and creativity to take these jobs," McGregor said to a press conference.

This legislation, called House Bill 335, is also sponsored by Rep. Nickie Antonio, Democrat who became the first openly gay state-level elected official.

Let's hope that this one will go further than the House unlike the last attempt which died in the Senate.
