Colorado House Approves "Ex-Gay" Therapies Ban To Minors

Written by

It is good news that comes from Colorado, where the House approved a bill that would ban minors therapies to «cure» homosexuality.

By a 35-29 vote, the Colorado House of Representatives voted for the measure, which «prohibits a licensed physician specializing in psychiatry and a licensed or registered mental health care provider from engaging in conversion therapy with a patient under 18 years of age.»

It also states that «a licensee who engages in these efforts is subject to disciplinary action by the appropriate licensing board.»

It now remains to get the vote of the Senate controlled by the Republicans with only one vote more than the Democrats.
