The first hearing to repeal DOMA will take place on July 20th.

Patrick Leahy announced that the hearing entitled "The Respect for Marriage Act: Assessing the Impact of DOMA on American Families" would take place on July 20th at 10:00 AM.
Marc Solomon, national director of Freedom to Marry, considers that "It’s time for Congress to end this gay exception and allow legally married same-sex couples access to the tools and security available to all other couples to build a life together and protect their families."
