Gay Marriage Bill To Be Reintroduced In New Jersey

A new bill to pass gay marriage will be launched in New Jersey.

Two years ago, a similar law had already tried to pass but without success.

Four people with direct knowledge of the draft bill told The Associated Press that Democrats' priority for the new legislative session is to move the bill quickly through both houses of the Legislature and forward it to the governor, perhaps as early as next month.

The problem is that Governor Chris Christie does not support marriage equality and even if "the world has changed since 2009 when the bill last came up," as said Steven Goldstein of Garden State Equality, a gay group, it is still difficult to know if the governor, who was campaigning with Mitt Romney a few days ago in New Hampshire, will sign the bill or not.
