And if marriage equality was legalized in Illinois for the Valentine's day?

It is in any case what the president of the Senate John Cullerton wishes.

In an interview with The Chicago Sun-Times, Cullerton said that he would like "to pass it out of committee next week and pass it on Valentine’s Day."

He seems very trustful. He said the bill should have the number of votes necessary to pass. It will need then the approval of the House but the most important obstacle is apparently the Senate.
