Indiana Governor Mike Pence Thinks The Law Which Allows Companies Not To Serve LGBT People Is Not Discriminatory

Written by

Last week, Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed a bill allowing businesses and churches to refuse service on the grounds of religious belief. But where it is pitiful is that the Governor Pence does not even know the law he signed.

Indeed, this weekend, at a press conference, Governor Pence called the idea that the law enables gay people to face discrimination «completely false.»

He even added: «We will fix this and we will move forward.»

He previously wrote in the Indy Star: «This bill is not about discrimination… and if I thought it legalized discrimination I would have vetoed it.»

Singer Miley Cyrus posted a photo of Pence on Instagram with the caption «You’re an a-hole.» Hard not to agree.

Big companies have opposed this law as Apple or Salesforce whose director said on Twitter that he would «cancel all programs that require their customers/employees to travel to Indiana to face discrimination.» He urged other companies to do the same.
