Indiana House Banned Marriage Equality

Written by

It is now official, the House of Representatives of Indiana voted for the prohibition of gay marriage.

This ban was approved very largely by a vote of 70 against 26.

Democratic representative Mary Ann Sullivan said that the amendment "taint our constitution with the language of hate."

In another side, Republican representative Ralph Foley said that the prohibition would not stop couples of the same sex to live together.

Sure it is really great to live together with no rights.

However there is still a hope, not for this year it is sure, if approved by the senate the ban will be studied  in 2013 and the 2014 by the House and the senate again. Elections will take place in 2014 hoping voters will push.
