56 of the 60 Republicans in the Iowa House will meet today to modify the constitution of the state.

One Iowa, the largest organization for the LGBT-rights of the state, is asking opponents of the ban to rally at the Capitol and attend the subcommittee hearing reports The Iowa Independent. They are asking those in attendance to wear blue to “signify your support for equality.”

“We know our opposition will be out in force, and that’s why it’s so important to have you there,” the group said in a statement. “This is a critical opportunity to show collective opposition to writing discrimination into the constitution.”
