Kate Drumgoole Is On Track To Get Justice After Being Fired For "Marriage With A Woman"

Last August, Kate Drumgoole (pictured on the right) was suing her former school, Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey, after being fired from her position as Dean of Guidance and girls' basketball coach because she had married a woman. The court of appeal has just refused the request to reject the trial.

The school and the Archdiocese of Newark have attempted to stop Kate's lawsuit by bringing the case before the Northern New Jersey Court of Appeals, which recently return its verdict in favor of Kate.

The trial for discrimination will therefore continue and determine whether, in this case, the anti-discrimination laws of the state prevail on the point of view of the church; and it is indeed a point of view and not a written policy hence the possibility for Kate to obtain justice.
