Legislators From North Dakota Reject The Non-Discrimination Law

Legislators from North Dakota have, once again, this is the third time in six years, rejected a bill that would have allowed protections against discrimination in housing and employment.

This measure had yet no mention of religion, and thus allow protection based on religious beliefs, while providing protections for the LGBT community.

Republican Governor Jack Dalrymple has not failed to notify them that they have made a huge mistake.

«Discrimination based on an individual's sexual orientation is not acceptable,» he said in a statement.

The Senate approved the measure in February.

Democratic Rep. Josh Boschee, the state's first and only openly gay legislator, said the bill will be introduced in future sessions until it passes.
