A Lesbian Major Can Rejoin The Air Force

A lesbian flight nurse will return the Air Force after being «fired» because of «Don't Ask, Don't tell».

Major Margaret Witt served for 19 years the Air Force, also part of the Air Force Reserves. When they found out she was a lesbian, informed by the ex-husband of her girlfriend, they fired her.

The Obama administration filed an appeal against the decision and she can now return to work for the Air Force.

«I am thrilled to be able to serve in the Air Force again. The men and women in the unit are like family members to me, and I’ve been waiting a long time to rejoin them,» said the Major Witt.
