Lesbian Veteran Madelynn Taylor Has Filed A Lawsuit Against Idaho Veterans Cemetery

Do you remember Madelynn Taylor, the lesbian veteran to whom the veterans' cemetery in Idaho refused she was buried with her late wife? Well Madelynn decided to counter-attack.

Although the Department of Veterans Affairsannounced last month that it would recognize civil unions between same-sex people, the State Division of Veteran Services denied Taylor's request to be buried with her wife basing its refusal on the prohibition of marriage equality still in force in Idaho.

So rather than waiting for the court to rule on marriage equality and to repeal the ban, Madelynn decided to also engage in the battle.
