Marion County Circuit Court Judge Vance Day, Who Refuses To Issue Same-Sex Marriage Licenses, Faces Ethical Complaints

Written by

Vance Day

After Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, Marion County Circuit Court Judge Vance Day faces ethics review because he not only refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples but also put up a picture of Adolf Hitler in the Salem courthouse.

A hearing will be held on November 9. The case could go before the Supreme Court of Oregon.

Note that Kim Davis was released from prison. During that time, same-sex couples continue to receive marriage licenses that have been officially declared validate despite the lack of a signature of a clerk.
