Congratulations to Oregon United For Marriage which managed to gather sufficient signatures to launch a marriage equality initiative.

The organization broke records! In only one week, it easily managed to collect the 2.000 signatures to push the Freedom to Marry and Religious Protection Initiative as they collected twice the number of signatures needed!

It will be noted that among these signatures, in addition to many religious leaders of various churches (Protestant, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Lutheran-Catholic, Methodist, Jewish, Quaker, and Buddhist), there are also the signatures of Governor John Kitzhaber and former Governor Barbara Roberts who already show their support for the first initiative.

Now there still remains a big step: to qualify the project for the November 2014 ballot. For that, the organization has this time to collect 116,284 signatures.

Feel free to help: TAKE ACTION
