North Carolina Senator Will Push Employment Non-Discrimination Act

Written by

North Carolina Senator decided to push a federal legislation to bar anti-LGBT employment discrimination.

"I’m announcing today that I will be signing on as a cosponsor to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)," Senator Kay Hagan, Democrat, said in an official statement.

"Discrimination must never be tolerated, and I believe that all Americans deserve an equal opportunity to fulfill their potential."

Whereas a few weeks ago, one was learned that a referendum will be organized to know in May if gay marriage will be banished from the constitution, Hagan said that she "remains wary of attempts to alter constitutions in the heat of today's charged political environment."

According to HRC, she was "disappointed about the actions of the N.C. Senate and House". Who was not!

There are from now on 41 cosponsors for ENDA.
