Poll: A Majority Of Nebraskans Supports Marriage Equality

Written by

A new poll shows that Nebraskans mostly support marriage equality.

The poll, commissioned by the World-Herald and conducted by Victory Phones, shows that 64% of the population of Nebraska support equal marriage against 34% opposition.

As elsewhere, the poll also shows that support is highest among young people than among older people. Thus, in more than 66 years, the opposition is 67%.

Seven same-sex couples and ACLU issued a challenge against the marriage equality ban in Nebraska in November. Another challenge has to be studied by the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals earlier next year.
