Poll Shows A Majority Of People, Who Live In A State Where Marriage Equality Is Banned, Supports A Legal Recognition Of Same-Sex Unions

Whereas many challenges are in hand, a new poll showed that in most states where marriage equality is prohibited, the inhabitants are in majority in favour of its legalization.

Proof that the things really change in the United States, a Washington Post-ABC poll shows that in the 33 states banning the equal marriage, where sometimes the voters had approved themselves by referendum this prohibition, 53% of the population are now favorable to a legal recognition for the gay and lesbian couples whereas 40% are against.

It still remains however too much opposition in Texas and in North Carolina.
