Poll Shows New-York Is Divided On Gay Marriage

A survey was organized in New York following to know who support and who don't gay marriage and here are some results.

According to this poll of NY1/YNN-Marist, 53% of the New-York adults think that the marriage is only between a man and a woman, 46% think the opposite and 2% do not know.

Concerning the legislation of the marriage, 50% are favorable to the marriage for gay and lesbian couples, 25% are not favorable to the marriage but are opened to civil unions. Finally, 25% think gay and lesbian relationships should not have any recognition.

What about men and women? As in the survey made for the whole United-States who showed that women supports more marriage equality than men, in New York this is the same thing, with 47% women against 58% of men who support a traditional marriage.
