Kameron Slade, competing for a contest of eloquence, wanted to follow President Barack Obama and make a speech on marriage equality but his director bans him from doing it thinking it was inappropriate.
Kameron has then to find another subject (the violence against animals) and lost the contest.
This story did not remain without continuation. Dennis Walcott, Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education, intervened, following the pressure of the media and in particular of the TV channel New York 1, and Kameron finally made his speech in his school.
