First, the city of Starkville, Mississippi, became the first in the state to offer the same protection to all residents. The measure was approved by the Starkville Board of Aldermen unanimously.
Then the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is also preparing to offer the equal health benefits but with a small difference.
