The Senators of Texas have approved a bill allowing adoption agencies to discriminate against LGBT couples.

Bill 3859, also referred to as the "Freedom To Serve Children Act", is similar to the law passed in Alabama.

This bill will allow adoption agencies that are funded by the state to discriminate against same-sex couples based on their religious beliefs.

The bill is now on the desk of Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
