Florida Senate Approved The Repeal Of The Ban On Adoption By Same-Sex Couples

Written by

In Florida, the Senate has just repealed the ban on same-sex couples to adopt children.

Indeed, the Senate was to vote on a bill to help more foster children find permanent homes and it was also mentioned to remove the ban on same-sex couples to adopt children because this ban is outdated and unconstitutional.

The Senate has given final approval to the bill repairing an injustice to our community.

The bill must now get the signature of Gov. Rick Scott.

Note also that an amendment that would allow adoption agencies to refuse to leave the children to same-sex couples based on their religious belief was rejected by the Senate.
