In August, a federal court in Florida declared the state's ban on same-sex marriage as unconstitutional following the request of two lesbians who wanted to divorce.
We all expected that the Attorney General will appeal this decision as she had previously done in two other cases repealing the ban that took place in Florida counties.
"We were not parties to those cases," Bondi spokeswoman Jennifer Meale said.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Broward County Clerk Howard Forman said he expects to decide by early next week whether to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
"I'm researching it as quickly as I can. We've been researching it for months," Forman said. "Florida's changing a lot, and we're vetting the issue as hard as we can."
