They Want To Graduate But They Cannot Because They Are Lesbian

In Del City, Oklahoma, two high school students were expelled from their school because they are lesbian.

According to KWTV News, Melissa McKenzie (pictured on the right) was fired of the Del City High School after its principal discovered that she was living with her girlfriend.

Her girlfriend, Kelsey Hicks (pictured in the middle) decided to dropped out of school but now, she would like to return to finish her studies. Unfortunately, the officials of the school encouraged her to drop out.

"The principal will say 'Well, you're gay. You're not going to do anything with your life. You might as well just drop out now. It's stuff to put you down that makes you want to drop out."

The school board, meanwhile, says he has not received complaints from the girls. Hicks denied thing.

"It is the policy of the Mid-Del Public School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs, services, and activities," said a statement from district officials. "The safety of our students is always the priority of Mid-Del Schools." (we can see this)

Unless a graduated girl from the same school confirmed that the principal had also pressured her when he discovered her "lifestyle."

Kelsey Hicks and Melissa McKenzie continue to struggle to return to school and graduate.
