The US military could officially accept transgender people as early as July 1st.

According to a memo signed by a senior Pentagon official, the Department of Defense would assess the army's ability to allow transgender people to serve. The various military services have to submit their reports by May 31.

The army could begin assessing transgender applicants into military service on July 1, 2017.

The Obama administration had changed the law prohibiting trans people from serving their country so that they would not be forced to be fired if they were discovered since most of them were hiding.

In a few weeks, there could be an opening of the army. It would be a great victory for the community!

Of course, the question arises whether this administration will apply this opening.

Know that it is about to appoint transphobe sheriff David Clark to the Department of Homeland Security.
