Will Bisbee, AZ Pass Civil Unions Despite Constitutional Ban?

The city of Bisbee in the South of Arizona could adopt a law allowing civil unions for same-sex couples despite the constitutional ban of marriage equality in the state.

 

Apparently, an ordinance will be voted by the city council. It will allow same-sex couples to profit from the same rights as married couples.

 

A conservative Christian advocacy group sees in this ordinance a violation to the Arizona's constitution ban and threatens of a costly legal fight as reports the Associated Press.
