Will Prop. 8 Hearing Be Broadcast?

Written by

The audience relating to Prop.8, which will take place next week, could include a 2010 video which shows testimonies of gay marriage defenders.

According to the Sacramento BeeSacramento Bee, U.S. District Chief Judge James Ware notified lawyers on Monday that he would like to record the Aug. 29 hearing where he will consider whether to unseal footage of last year's trial on the constitutionality of the ban, known as Proposition 8.

This video, which was until now sealed, will perhaps be part of the audience.

The anti-gay lawyers oppose its diffusion because it is a video recording during 2010 Proposition 8 trial in San Francisco, the trial in which Judge Vaughn R. Walker overturn Prop. 8.
