Wyoming Rejected Anti-Discrimination Bill

Written by

Last week, three bills were introduced in Wyoming. Two of them, the bill to legalize marriage equality and a bill which would have allowed the recognition of domestic parterships, had been rejected so it just did not remain any more but the anti-discrimination law. By a vote of 13-17, this one was also rejected.

The state of Wyoming, very conservator, did not thus take any step towards more equality for its citizens.

"Obviously, the country’s moving that direction," Rothfuss, the bill’s sponsor, told The Star-TribuneThe Star-Tribune."It’s a necessary step to get it out there and get it discussed by the full body, and I’m hopeful in the future we’ll be able to get this group moved in that direction," Rothfuss said.
