Wyoming Senate Banned Anti Gay Law

The Senate of Wyoming rejected a bill who would ban the recognition of gay and lesbian marriages make outside the state.

By a vote of 16-14, the Senate obstructed this discriminatory law.

Rep. Peter Illoway said that the existing law did not need to be changed: "People are equal, whether you agree with their lifestyle or not," he said according to the article. "People that you may not agree with are still people."

However, even if the vote destroyed this legislation, it can be sent to a difference conference committee by the president of the senate.
