Written and directed by Ness Simons, "Pot Luck" is a fresh, fun, and sexy comedy that portrays queer life as it is.
The series follows a group of friends who made a pact which turns their weekly potluck dinners into a search for love. Or not.
Debs (Anji Kreft) is a rather shy butch whose heart was broken six years earlier, her mate Mel (Nikki Si'ulepa) is herself charismatic, free and easy, and Beth (Tess Jamieson-Karaha) is torn between duty and identity, and also Mel's ex-girlfriend.
The first episode entitled "The Pact", which you can watch below, was funded by the Emerging Artists Trust, which Ness says has been "a huge vote of support and really helpful in getting the momentum for the series underway".
Now the team of "Pot Luck" would like to produce a full season. They have launched a fundraising campaign here: https://www.boosted.org.nz/projects/pot. Feel free to share the link.
