Zurich Looks For Gay And Lesbian Parents To Foster Children

Written by

Zurich gay parents

About families with gay and lesbian parents, things are completely different than we are in the French-speaking Switzerland or in the German-speaking part. For example, a new campaign targeting same-sex parents was launched in Zurich.

The city of Zurich is indeed in need of parents to care of children, hence this clearly explicit video:

"This just shows that the City of Zurich took a step back," said Barbara Lanthemann of the Lesbians' Swiss Organization. "The first concern of everyone is the well-being of children. And the well-being of the child is as much guaranteed with a homosexual than with a straight couple."

As reported by RTS, there is not a targeted campaign in French-speaking Switzerland, more reserved about families with gay and lesbian parents.

Adoption is currently not granted to same-sex couples and that no matter where they live in Switzerland.
